Happy National Toast Day! A toast guide to Chattanooga

I, like any good millennial, love me some ripe avocado spread across a crunchy fresh sourdough. It’s National Toast Day (who makes these up?)…so let’s round up the best toast in town!
1. First up, is my personal favorite Neidlov’s Breadworks. A fantastic local bakery with roots tying to the famous Zingerman’s Deli in Ann Arbor.
With Avocado Toast on freshly made bread for $6, this place is hard to beat.
Avocado Toast (vegan) / $6
Avocado spread, sea salt, chili oil, cilantro, poached local egg,
green onion, served on toasted Whole Wheat Four Seed bread.

2. Next, is one that usually think of as a date spot, but has great brunch. Old Gillman Grill.
Their version of avocado toast is served with two poached farm eggs, feta cheese, radishes, whole grain toast.

3. Coming in at third is The Daily Ration. A cute, but often packed brunch/lunch place on the North Shore with great coffee.
HEIRLOOM AVO TOAST / $11
Multigrain toast, smashed avocado, cherry
heirloom tomato salad, feta, soft boiled egg*

I’m definitely a fan of the acid added wit the heirloom tomatoes.
As far as others in town that defintiely deserve a mention:
5. Milk & Honey
6. Kenny’s
I hope you enjoyed my round-up. All of these places are awesome local joints where you can surely get your white-girl brunch fix.
Okay, now I’m hungry.
