“Stand over there next to that blue and white wall,” he said. I looked and saw my yin-yang moment. It was minutes before I needed to leave before girls night, and he asked to take the photo of me this time.

I wanted to share my take on “buttoned up” with this adorable blue skirt and what Josh calls my “Bavarian top” (psst…it’s actually a bodysuit!).

Let’s get to it.

I seriously have probably worn this 5 times since it arrived a couple weeks ago. I like pairing it with high-waisted options since the bodysuit feature makes for smooth tucks. Absolutely worth every penny.

On to the adorable skirt. If you know me, you know that cobalt blue is my color. It was all in my wedding, from bridesmaids dresses down to my shoes. So, when I saw this fresh cut at Anthropologie, I knew it had to be mine. I sized up, so it was a bit longer for work. Sadly, it looks like they just sold out of the original at Anthro, but I’ll link some similar ones for you beauties.

Now on to the shoes! I’ve gotten so many compliments on these from ladies young and old. I love the perforations to keep my feet cool and dry. The heel is just right, making it seem as though you have legs for days. They are super easy to walk in, and the heel strap holds everything in place.

Lastly, those $5 earrings I mentioned. They are actually a set of TWO for $5. Super light, on trend, and two options…um, yes please.

As a creative, sometimes I get bogged down in creating the right environment to cultivate perfect creativity. I’m going to work on trying to be better at just letting creative moments happen, instead of forcing contrived perfection. With more and more little unexpected creative moments, it takes the pressure away from it, and makes being creative what it supposed to be…fun.
